How to Download iOS 14.3 beta profile. Developers are wondering how to get iOS 14 beta. This year, the beta on the iPhone may need a little help, since there is no update over the air. We are here to help with the instructions.
You can try iOS 14 early, before its full version, probably in September with the iPhone 11, but only if you have a paid developer account. As promised, Apple made iOS 14 beta 1 / iPados 14 beta 1 available immediately after playing at WWDC 2019.
Here’s how to download the iOS 14 beta for developers, but be careful – installing it is cumbersome. Similarly, the beta for developers (and even the public beta of iOS 14 after it) is not guaranteed to be fully stable.
Some applications may not work with the beta version of iOS 14 until the final version (we already encountered this in previous beta versions of iOS). If you want to minimize your risk and / or annoyance, you can wait until the public beta of iOS 14 is available to all iPhone users in July.
Before getting iOS 14 Beta version, make a backup of your iPhone
If you want to try the beta for developers, we recommend that you first back up your iPhone – just in case. This way, you can restore your phone’s settings, applications and data in normal mode (that is, in the stable version of iOS) if something goes wrong.
Therefore, before downloading to iOS 14 beta, check out our guide to backing up your iPhone.
To get iOS 14, Register in Apple for developers
If you want to test the beta version of iOS 14 for developers, but are not registered with the Apple developer program, go to the Apple Developer Program page to register and follow the instructions.
You will need to provide your Apple ID along with some basic personal information. Remember that registration costs $ 100 (about £ 69, $ 140) to register as a new developer. But you will also get early access to macOS and other beta software versions.
How to download and install iOS 14 beta
Do you have a developer account? Fine. First go to the Apple Developers page. Here. Click on the “Operating Systems” tab at the top. Now, you guessed it, scroll down to the section labeled “iOS 14 beta.”
Then choose between installing using macOS 10.15 beta (which is another beta development at the moment) or Xcode 11 beta, and you will actually install it through iTunes (oddly enough, since iTunes will be leaving soon).
Now you can choose from a list of phones on which iPhone you are downloading the beta version of iOS 14. Keep in mind that there is a new minimum threshold: everything older than iPhone SE, iPhone 6S or iPod Touch (7th generation) will not be able to upgrade to this version of iOS.
And it’s all. Enjoy the beta of iOS 14 and see if the new version is ready for download.
