An iOS developer account costs 99 euros per year. If you already pay and you have the latest version of iTunes on your device, then be happy. Installation is fairly easy.

  • Visit the download section of Apple’s developer page.
  • Select the appropriate iOS firmware for your model.
  • Download the IPSW file and install it via iTunes. To do this, open iTunes, select your device and click on “Update” while holding the Shift key. Then select the file and confirm.

  • Add your UDID to the developer account, this is the unique identification number of your model (find out via iTunes> Connect device> Select device> Click: UDID is displayed).
  • In the developer sidebar in iTunes, select “Certificates, IDs and profiles” and select your device.
  • Then click on the + sign and paste the UDID there.
  • Then you proceed as above.
